APPI Planning Awards Committee
APPI is seeking RPP members who are interested in in serving on the Planning Awards Committee whose primary responsibility is adjudicating the annual APPI Planning Awards acknowledging meritorious plans and projects, undertaken in whole or in part by members of the Association, that significantly contribute to the liveability of communities in Alberta, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut.
Members working in the private sector or with significant private sector experience are strongly encouraged to respond to this call. Submit a brief bio and interest to the APPI office by noon on Monday, October 2 by emailing [email protected].
Registered Professional Planners for the SAPL Mentorship Program
This is an initiative by the University of Calgary SAPL Student Association and seeks to offer worthwhile chances to SAPL students to engage with industry professionals willing to offer their knowledge and skills. Students will get an opportunity to network and shape their professional or academic identities through the program.
If you would like to participate in the program, fill in the Mentor Agreement (Appendix B) form from the Mentorship Program Guidebook by Sunday, September 31st. CONNECTION 2024 National Hybrid Conference
July 9 - July 11, 2024
Edmonton Convention Centre
In developing the CONNECTION 2024 conference themes and streams, we made an intentional decision to strive to integrate and reflect the complexity of the wicked problems faced by current and future generations.
The deadline for submissions is Monday, October 16 at 11:59 p.m. PT. No late submissions will be accepted. Applicants will be notified as to the status of their application by January 31, 2024.

APPI Student Meet & Greet with the University of Alberta Planning Students
Do you have an interest in Planning?
Students from all faculties & departments (Planning students and curious-about-Planning students) are welcome to attend the University of Alberta and Alberta Professional Planners Institute Annual Meet & Greet.
This is an opportunity for planning students and prospective planning students to ask APPI Council and professional planners everything they want to know about a career in professional planning. Including information about APPI and CIP Student Awards and Scholarships. Complimentary pizza and refreshments

Continuous Professional Learning (CPL)
Update: CIP has completed uploading the conference sessions and units into your CPL individual member records. Please do not duplicate the entries.
