Professional Development
The Professional Development Portfolio encompasses all activities and responsibilities pertaining to the professional development of Regulated members including but not limited to reviewing the practice of a Regulated member. APPI representation on initiatives pertaining to the education of future planners also fall within this portfolio, including but not limited to University degree accreditations.
A majority of the work undertaken within the portfolio is undertaken by the Practice Review Committee (PRC) or a sub-committee of the PRC. The PRC is a Standing Committee of APPI Council appointed annually by APPI Council pursuant to the Act and Regulation. The Committee is responsible for administering the process for reviewing the practice of a Regulated member process as outlined in the Act, overseeing members’ compliance with mandatory Continuous Professional Learning reporting as defined in the APPI Bylaws, and acting on behalf of the Institute with respect to matters relating to the professional development of Regulated members and the education of future planners.

APPI Volunteer Recognition Awards Call for Submissions
Outstanding Contribution to the Profession Award, Volunteer of the Year Award and new this year, the Exceptional Mentor Award
Please forward the name of your nominee(s) to the APPI office stating the name of your nominee, which award you are nominating the member for and include a succinct description of their contribution and why the member is worthy of the award (250 words or less) by March 29, 2018.
