The Professional Development Portfolio encompasses all activities and responsibilities pertaining to the professional development of Regulated members including but not limited to reviewing the practice of a Regulated member. APPI representation on initiatives pertaining to the education of future planners also fall within this portfolio, including but not limited to University degree accreditations.
A majority of the work undertaken within the portfolio is undertaken by the Practice Review Committee (PRC) or a sub-committee of the PRC. The Committee is responsible for administering the process for reviewing the practice of a Regulated member process as outlined in the Act, overseeing members’ compliance with mandatory Continuous Professional Learning reporting as defined in the APPI Bylaws, and acting on behalf of the Institute with respect to matters relating to the professional development of Regulated members and the education of future planners.
