Stormwater outcomes are shaped long before detailed design begins. Designing for Tomorrow: The Future of Stormwater Management takes place November 4 to 6 in Calgary, Alberta, and offers planners a valuable professional development opportunity to explore how land use planning, policy, approvals, community design, and implementation decisions influence long-term drainage and environmental performance. The 2026 program includes a new training opportunity on carrying LID from planning intent through to implementation, along with conference sessions on governance, public adoption, natural infrastructure, flood adaptation, asset management, and integrated design.
