APPI St. Albert Event - Downtown St. Albert Walking Tour
Meet at the rear entrance of St. Albert Place (5 St. Anne Street) by the doors facing the Sturgeon River. To get there - walk, bike or use the FREE St. Albert Park N’ Ride at Village Transit Station (located at Grange Drive and Gate Avenue behind the St. Albert Inn). Parking will be limited downtown as the St. Albert Farmer’s Market will be open from 10am to 3pm. After the walk, be sure to explore the Market and everything that it has to offer!
The City of St. Albert’s downtown is the cultural and social heart of the City! The Art Gallery, Musée Héritage Museum, City Hall and Library, along with many of the City’s events, all provide key services to residents as a hub for the City. With a population of about 66,000 people, St. Albert’s downtown is growing and slowly evolving to become more people-focused, have a mixture of land uses, be compact and walkable. Join the Planning Branch with the City of St. Albert and other city staff to hear about what’s happening in the downtown core. Topics will explore how St. Albert has changed over the years, the Downtown Area Redevelopment Plan (DARP) vision, the importance of walkability and what projects are currently underway in the area.
Come and see for yourself (rain or shine) all about our City! The tour will be approximately 1 KM with multiple stops.
This event qualifies for 1.5 structured learning unit.
Please register early, as this event is capped at 25 persons.
