Scholarship applications will be evaluated based on the entirety of the application and overall merit and not judged on academics. A maximum of four (4) $2,000 scholarships will be awarded for 2025. Phone Number Street Address Email Address City Province Postal Code ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA Students must be entering or enrolled in a diploma, undergraduate or master’s degree program at a post-secondary institution in Alberta, Northwest Territories, or Nunavut. Students completing their final year in 2025 are eligible to apply. Students may be enrolled in an accredited planning program, an unaccredited planning program, or a planning related field of study such as: urban, rural, environmental recreation, land use, or another program of study or design. Student applicants do not have to be APPI Student members to apply for these scholarships. Submissions will be evaluated on an equally weighted basis, on creativity, financial need and relevance to the Alberta, Northwest Territories or Nunavut jurisdiction. A written submission (no more than 500 words) consisting of the following: an outline of the intended use of this monetary scholarship; an expression of financial need; and, a brief description of: your interest in research, emerging practices and innovation in the advancement of excellence in planning how your interests described above contribute to the practice of planning in Alberta, Northwest Territories or Nunavut.
